Prof. Detlev Ganten, born in 1941, is President of the World Health Summit, a specialist in pharmacology and molecular medicine, and one of the world’s leading scientists in the field of cardiovascular disease. He was President of the Helmholtz Association, a member of the National Ethics Council and chairman of the board of the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) Berlin-Buch. He has received many international awards for his work in research.
