Martin grew up in a family of scientists, and is a grandson of the celebrated Nobel Laureate Werner Heisenberg. He is a member of the Parmenides Foundation and received his degree in theoretical medicine from The Philipp University of Marburg, before working as an independent researcher. He also holds a PhD in Neuroscience. His interests include cognitive neuroscience, semantic knowledge representation and the use of technology to support human thinking and decision-making, and prior to Ada was involved with several other AI-focused German startups.
